ELIXIR
Mission.
Founded in 2003, ELIXIR supports and produces collaborative, multidisciplinary projects with local and international reach, under the vision of artist Leyya Mona Tawil. Under Tawil’s leadership and creative vision, ELIXIR has emerged one of few US organizations that specifically presents experimental performance works from an Arab-American perspective.
ELIXIR produces work in the form of live trans-disciplinary performance, in a manner that supports local and international discourse and cultural empowerment. ELIXIR also operates TAC: Temescal Art Center. Celebrating 25 years as a "Room for Belonging" - TAC is a venue for experimental, healing and community art in Oakland-CA. ELIXIR also produces ArabAMP, a nomadic platform for experimental live art and music from the SWANA diaspora, region and allied communities. |
